    In the marketing of self-adhesive silicone rubber, we have come to realize more deeply that what customers truly want is never just a simple parameter sheet, but a complete set of adhesive solutions that are feasible, mass-producible, and high-yield.

    Recently, the Betterly team, in collaboration with clients in the 3C electronics industry, successfully overcame the adhesion risks and mass production stability challenges of self-adhesive silicone rubber in practical production. This project implementation also truly demonstrates Betterly's solid capability in the integrated and coordinated service of business, technology, and quality.

    Actual Pain Points Faced by the Customer On-Site

    The customer has been long troubled by two major issues in the production of silicone rubber coated components:

    • The adhesion strength between silicone rubber and the PC substrate is highly variable, often resulting in delamination defects during production;

    • The traditional process relies on primers to assist bonding, but the volatile substances do not meet the workshop's environmental control standards;

    The customer's core demand is clear: without changing the existing molding process, achieve a production solution that allows primer-free operation, improves production efficiency, and maintains stable yield in mass production.

    Betterly Three-Point Collaboration, One-Stop Breakthrough

    1. Rapid On-Site Business Front, Accurately Pinpointing Needs

    Business colleagues promptly enter the customer's production site, systematically sorting out key process points and product failure issues one by one. They bring back core parameters such as customer test materials, rubber hardness and flow requirements, and molding temperature and time, while simultaneously coordinating with the technical team in advance to shorten the overall solution cycle.

    2. Research and Development Oriented Optimization, Formula and Process Dual Adaptation

    Relying on the strength of Betterly's Dongguan R&D center, the technical team precisely adjusts the density of adhesive functional groups in self-adhesive silicone rubber and the vulcanization adaptation range for PC-specific substrates. After multiple rounds of debugging and verification, the ideal results are achieved:

    • Under vulcanization conditions of 120-130°C, 200 seconds, and 2mm thickness, the bonding strength remains stable above 4MPa;

    • Optimize the compatibility of rubber material with metal molds, significantly improving the issues of sticking and jamming in molds;

    • No primer is needed throughout the process, meeting workshop environmental requirements and matching the existing production rhythm.

    3. Full-process quality control to maintain batch stability

    The quality team collaborates with customers to jointly develop customized incoming material inspection standards, batch sampling protocols, and regular pull-testing mechanisms. At the same time, specialized process control is implemented on the production line to manage production details from the source, ensuring stable performance across multiple batches without significant quality fluctuations.

    Results from volume production

    Customers were able to complete solution switching and full-process verification in just two to three weeks, successfully entering the stable volume production stage:

    • Customer feedback indicated that production yield increased from 85% to 95%;

    • Preliminary calculations show that overall process costs decreased by approximately 30% (eliminating primer, reducing defects and rework);

    • The primer process was completely removed, successfully passing all internal environmental, odor, and volatile substance tests.

    Currently, this mature solution is gradually being applied to multiple product lines and new projects of the customer.

    The core advantage of Betterly's self-adhesive silicone rubber goes far beyond the elimination of primer. The true differentiation in competitive strength lies in our ability to base solutions on the customer’s actual production scenarios, providing full-chain systematic services from formula customization and process adaptation to quality control, helping customers achieve worry-free implementation and stable volume production.
