C8H19NSi2 is a colorless transparent liquid non-toxic, and soluble in ethyl acetate, toluene, cyclohexane, and organic solvents which use in liquid silicone rubber curing.
Reference Data for Divinyltetramethyldisilazane(C8H19NSi2)in Liquid Silicone Rubber Curing:
Note: C8H19NSi2 in liquid silicone rubber curing is used to treat fumed silica (2% – 5% of the usual recommended dosage), and the treated silica becomes hydrophobic from hydrophilic and has a better affinity with raw rubber enhancing the dispersion of the silica in the lsr liquid silicone rubber matrix and reduces agglomeration. Nevertheless, it can be used as a ceramic surface treatment agent. It can be used as a synthetic intermediate for medical and other chemicals. It can also be used as a coating additive and can be used for liquid silicone rubber, liquid silicone rubber gel, and vinyl silicone resin manufacturing.

It is mainly used to treat fumed silica in liquid silicone rubber products as an active silane coupling agent.
An organosilane coupling agent is a kind of organosilicon compound that contains two different chemical groups in the molecule simultaneously. The general formula ysix3 can express its classical product.
Because of this special structure, the silane coupling agent can act on the interface between inorganic materials (such as glass, metal, or mineral) and organic materials (such as organic polymer, coating, or adhesive) and combine or couple two different materials. It can enhance the affinity between organic and inorganic compounds and enhance the physical and chemical properties of the composites, such as strength, toughness, electrical properties, water resistance, and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for liquid silicone rubber curing.
